Liz Sherman , theater director in New York, dreaming of various theatrical projects, of urban performance, involving cycling. She longed to be able to mount a show trial where actors Cycling preform on a soundtrack. But it is not easy to set up projects in unusual public settings without causing some problems. Maybe too many problems for this to happen.

So Liz is back at the base of its concept: Roll music.
On a soundtrack composed specially for these events by a size of movie soundtrack, Duncan Bridgeman, and totally inspired by the predetermined path, Liz Sherman offered to people who wanted to download on their MP3 player that sound and arrange to meet you at one point and a specific time in the heart of New York for a ride cyclo-musical. This is called JoyRide .

This concept ties in very well that of the BAC Walks (Bicycles, art and culture) that we had tried to introduce last year. This was less than great biking trips velocipedic to reach some points of exhibitions and shows. The bike then became a pretext for the discovery and encounter, as many people as happened, for each "output" is created on the spot, improvising according to the mood of the moment and suggestions. Joyride, a 11 km ride through the streets of New York. The event took place three times last summer, the three Saturdays in August Summer Streets Festival, during which the streets are closed to traffic.
